6/11 Les Folies du Plaisir The Best of House Music Party @ Made Club Como
The legendary party Le Folies du Plaisir, which has been making Como dance to the rhythm of house music for over twenty years, returns on November 6 at Made Club Como. The event kicks off with the lively dinner “Cenando & Ballando” from 9 PM. In the main room, it’s all about house music. On the consoles are resident DJs Gabriele Palazzolo, Andreas, Moreno Pezzolati, and special guest Ricky Montanari, a true icon of Italian clubbing in the house genre. The night will also feature a performance by Night Project.
Biography Ricky Montanari
Riccardo Montanari, known as Ricky, has been one of the most acclaimed DJs in the Italian nightlife scene for decades and is recognized worldwide in the house music community. Born in Rimini, he developed a passion for music in the late ’70s when the DJ profession was not as widespread and defined as it is today. His strong passion led him to spend entire afternoons listening to and collecting vinyl, which today has grown to 40,000 records. Ricky Montanari’s professional journey began in the mid-’80s, debuting alongside DJ Cirillo at Insomnia in Cattolica. Soon after, he was at Peter Pan in Riccione, where he began to make a name for himself. In 1988, he became a resident at Ethos Mama Club in Gabicce Mare, playing a leading role in Italy’s first after-hour event, “Diabolika.” Then came “Vae Victis,” where his name became indelibly linked to this after-hour, voted by the English DJ magazine as one of the most beautiful clubs in the world. From the ’90s, he played at Echoes in Misano Adriatico and Matis in Bologna, as well as Confusion in London.
