First highlights of the 31st Danube Island Festival
Europe´s largest open air with free entrance
The 31st Danube Island Festival, Europe´s biggest open air festival with free entrance, runs
from 27 – 29 June 2014.
Musical highlights of the 31st Danube Island Festival:
Famous acts like the legendary The Commodores ( 30 top hits in the US R&B Charts, in 2003, the
band were inducted into the Vocal Group Hall of Fame), Count Basic and Macy Gray have been
announced.
Furthermore, acts like Kosheen, Genetikk, Bilderbuch, I-Wolf & The Chainreaction, DVBBS, Sander
van Doorn, Global Deejays, Nik P., Stefanie Werger, Andy Lee Lang, the Hot Pants Road Club and
Andreas Vitasek, one of the most cherished austrian cabaret artists, will perform on stage.

The spark7 Rock The Island Contest presented by PULS 4 celebrates its 5th anniversary at the Danube
Island Festival 2014!
Since 2010, the contest offers the unique chance of playing at Europe´s largest open air festival with
free entrance.
More than 300 bands and musicians have already applied since the contest´s kickoff on 03.02.2014.
On http://2014.donauinselfest.at, the voting is already running. Everyone can vote for his favourite
act until 12.05.2014.
