AVEC GABRIEL LOPP é
La Vallée de Chamonix-Mont-Blanc
poursuit son hommage à l’occasion
du centenaire de la disparition de
Gabriel Loppé (1825-1913).
En complément de l’exposition de
peinture « Gabriel Loppé, artiste au
sommet » à découvrir au Musée
Alpin depuis le 26 juin 2013, c’est
le parcours photographique de
ce peintre alpiniste, également
photographe de talent – certaines
de ses oeuvres ont rejoint en 1989
les collections du Musée d’Orsay –
qui sera présenté jusqu’à mi-janvier
à la Maison de la Mémoire et du
Patrimoine.

WITH GABRIEL LOPP é
The Valley of Chamonix-Mont-
Blanc continues paying tribute to
Gabriel Loppé (1825-1913) for the
centenary of his death.
In addition to the exhibition of
paintings « Gabriel Loppé, an artist at
the top » to be discovered at Musée
Alpin since 26 June 2013, the career
as photographer of this painter and
mountaineer will be presented until
mid-January at the “Maison de
la Mémoire et du Patrimoine”.
Indeed, Gabriel Loppé also was a
talented photographer and some of
his works joined the collections of
Musée d’Orsay in Paris in 1989.
