The roll of honour of the Dubai Tour is evidence that the race is
important amongst the riders as a must-have in the career palmarès. This
is why CBD wanted to renew its support for an additional three years:
to benefit from both the guaranteed global exposure
of the Dubai Tour and within the UAE region itself.

The CBD’s sponsorship goes beyond the Dubai Tour. to include sponsorship
of the Mini Dubai Tour, too. The event, a smaller version of the
professional cycling race, takes place from 25 to 28 January, just weeks
ahead the pro race. Organized by Dubai Sports
Council, the Mini Dubai Tour is for children aged 8 – 13 years and
includes free entry and also includes a competition of moms and dads.
The dates of the funniest cycle race in Town will be announced shortly.

H.E. Saeed Hareb, Dubai Sports Council General Secretary,
said: “I am very pleased with this renewal and am very happy to have
such a major partner as the Commercial Bank of Dubai for three more
years as part of the Dubai Tour.
Our cycling event will continue to be an ideal platform to communicate
the values of Commercial Bank of Dubai. This commitment is synonymous
with an event in constant growth and with great prospects that looks to
cycling fans and the new generations as well.”

Commenting on the Dubai Tour and its sponsorship, the bank’s CEO,
Peter Baltussen, said: ‎”Commercial Bank of Dubai is
thrilled to renew our sponsorship for three more years with the Dubai
Tour which strongly aligns with the bank’s corporate social
responsibility objectives of promoting a healthy lifestyle.
This event contributes significantly to elevating the UAE’s sports
sector and embodies the vision of the government to develop and promote
sports in UAE, led by His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al
Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE
and Ruler of Dubai.”

Lorenzo Giorgetti, RCS Sport and Events DMCC CEO,
said: “Firstly I would like to thank the Commercial Bank of Dubai for
their commitment in the last two years. We grew up together with mutual
satisfaction and this is the key
of a strongly supported renewal. Three more years are a good period of
time to achieve both new, important results together and to consolidate
what we have done and increase as well.”
