TW Classic Returns with an Impressive Line-up This Summer
On Saturday, June 28, The Rolling Stones will headline the 13th edition of the one-day festival at Festivalpark in Werchter, Belgium. Mick Jagger, Keith Richards, Charlie Watts, and Ronnie Wood will take the stage as part of their 14 ON FIRE tour. This marks the second time The Rolling Stones will headline the TW Classic festival. Other confirmed acts for TW Classic 2014 include Simple Minds, Triggerfinger, Arno, Seasick Steve, and Admiral Freebee. The Rolling Stones’ 14 ON FIRE tour sees Mick Jagger, Keith Richards, Charlie Watts, and Ronnie Wood hitting the road again after a series of monumental concerts in the UK and US last year. The tour brings their legendary music and groundbreaking stage performances to audiences worldwide. The Stones kicked off the 14 ON FIRE tour with their inaugural performance in the Middle East in February and are now making their way through Asia, Australia, and New Zealand. This summer, they return to Europe for the first time in seven years.
Fans can expect a setlist packed with classic hits like “Gimme Shelter,” “Paint It Black,” “Jumpin’ Jack Flash,” “Tumbling Dice,” and “It’s Only Rock ‘N’ Roll,” along with a few surprises. Mick Jagger shared his excitement, saying, “I love festivals in the summertime and can’t wait for the tour to get to Europe.” Keith Richards added, “Let’s keep this show on the road … the band is in top form, so I’m really looking forward to getting back to Europe.” The Rolling Stones will announce additional major European shows for May and June over the next two weeks.
